Recording commenced March 21 1972. The track features lead vocals from Benny and Björn.

Santa Rosa was released as a B-side to He Is Your Brother in Sweden and Scandinavian markets. On other single releases of He Is Your Brother, Santa Rosa was replaced with other songs.

Santa Rosa was later released on a number of ABBA's compilation albums and expanded editions of Ring Ring;

As a B-side to He Is Your Brother, Santa Rosa only charted in Scandinavian countries, failing to reach the sales chart in ABBA's native Sweden.

ABBA, then known as Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid, performed the song as the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, Japan on November 18 1972. On this occasion Agnetha Fältskog sung lead vocals alongside Björn.[1]
