ABBA is a swedish pop group which was formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The name is an acronym of the first letter of each member's first name. ABBA are one of the most commercially successful pop groups of all time, with chart-topping songs from 1974 to 1982. ABBA won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton, UK, Sweden's first victory in the contest.
